FACE LIFT

With aging, some parts of our face tend to sag and develop wrinkles. The most affected parts are the neck and the jawline. Facelift eliminates the signs of aging and gives natural results.

The surgery is performed under local anaesthesia combined with deep sedation or under general anaesthesia.

The skin will first be separated from the tissue below and then tightened.

This surgery is performed through an incision that begins in front of the ear and extends down and behind the ear. Not only excess skin is removed, but also deep underlying facial muscles are tightened and fat excess is trimmed. The surgery lasts about 2 or 3 hours and patients are allowed to go home on the same day after the surgery. Some sutures dissolve naturally, others will be removed 1 or 2 weeks after the surgery. If drains were used, these will be removed on the next day.
Incisions are nearly invisible because of their location and do not modify the hair implantation. Face lift surgery can be performed in conjunction with liposuction of the neck when there is fat excess. Facelift does not affect the middle part of your face, in particular not the eyelids, the upper lip, and the forehead.

After surgery, the face will be loosely bandaged during 2 to 4 weeks.  The patients can expect some rigidity and numbness around the ears for about a few weeks after surgery, possible sensitivity loss is temporary. Most patients can return to home in 15 to 20 days and your face will be presentable again and patients can return to work. Positive results become noticeable after 6 months. Facelift can only slow down the aging process: it can set back the clock but can’t stop it!  You will have a rejuvenate appearance and look younger by 5 years ... and though your new improved appearance will age, just as your original did, it will persist with time.

Facelift can be reproduced 2 or 3 times in your life.
